London is nice today (but i wouldn't want to be here in winter)

Well good news. So far I'm still alive and traveling. The flight over was about 8 hours and it really wasn't that bad. A little sleeping, some bookwork, a funny movie and it was over. Plus it was wonderfully fun listening to all the British accents. The exit row (pictured here) was a God-send. All in all, a pleasant flight.

Shockingly the London weather was bloody nice today (that is my first and last attempt to sound British)(for this post anyway). Aesthetically pleasing layout to the place, friendly locals and free WiFi. All in all, 4 out of 5 stars.

So now Tim sleeps and I wait, relaxed and filled with anticipation of adventures waiting to be had.

My first Post (very creative title, I know)

Hi everyone,

It is currently 3:45am but since going to bed at a reasonable hour has never been a strongsuit of mine, I'm posting my first blog entry.

Today was Rachel's birthday and for the most part it was a good one because everywhere she went, a margarita was waiting for her. I tease her but she was surrounded all day by friends (see photo) and family who love her and that always makes a birthday good.

Regrettably, I won't have the same luxury on my own upcoming birthday but that sadness is vastly outweighed by the joy at getting to start a bold (read crazy) new chapter in my life. Just one week until I leave and I can barely contain my excitement. I'll be keeping everyone up-to-date on my current travels, activities and outrageous anecdotes through this. Hopefully it brings a smile to your face.
